Detailed operational rules, API constraints, and platform guidelines for using VioSMS services.
Payment for Services and Purchase Procedure
- Before using the VioSMS platform, you must top up your balance;
- All available top-up methods can be found by clicking the 'Top up' button;
- The commission and minimum top-up amount depend on the selected payment method;
- Please note: funds may take up to 3 hours to be credited to your balance;
- Funds are deducted from the balance upon completion of the purchase;
- A purchase is considered completed if an OTP code has been received and displayed to the user;
- If an OTP code does not arrive for any reason, the funds are returned to the balance;
- If a code does not arrive after multiple numbers purchase, VioSMS may apply sanctions to the account (see the 'Bans' section);
- To withdraw funds from your balance, send a request to support@vio-sms.com from the email address that was used to register your account. Requests are reviewed within 3 business days. The standard withdrawal period is 7 days. In some cases, the review period for a withdrawal request may take up to 4 weeks.
- Refunds are made to the same wallet which the deposit was made with.
- A 5% fee is charged for withdrawals. If one year or more has passed since the last top-up, the fee is 15%; after 2 years – 25%; after 3 years – 35%.
Why money wasn't credited to the balance
If the funds are topped up correctly, they are credited to the balance automatically. The maximum waiting time is 3 hours.
Funds crediting problems may occur if you have not met the terms of the top up:
- Topped up the amount which is less than the minimum one (the minimum amount is indicated when replenishing after choosing a method);
- You chose a method of top up with a certain cryptocurrency, but paid with another one;
- The network you selected doesn't match the one you used for the payment.
Please, follow the instructions so as not to wait for the issue to be resolved by the technical support.
Rent and Activation
Rent and Activation are the two core services of VioSMS. When choosing a service, evaluate your specific needs and the importance of the account you are creating.
- Activation: Use of a number for 20 minutes to receive an unlimited number of codes from a selected service.
- Rent: Use of a number for a period from 2 hours up to 8 weeks, with the ability to receive any number of codes from one or more services.
Activation is also divided into subcategories depending on the verification method:
- By SMS: The code arrives in an SMS message.
- By Number: The last digits of the incoming call's phone number are used as the code.
- By Voice: The code is dictated during an incoming call. If a certain feature is not on the website, it is currently under development.
Cancellation and Refunds
- Cancellation is available 2 minutes after purchase. The corresponding button in the activation card will become active.
- A refund to the balance is available if no code has been received on the number.
- Once a code is received, the activation is considered successful, and a refund is no longer possible.
- If no code is received within 20 minutes for any reason, the funds will automatically return to your balance.
- Cancellation is available 2 minutes after purchase.
- A refund for rent is only possible within the first 20 minutes after purchase.
- After 20 minutes, rent refunds are impossible, even if no code was received.
- In some cases of provider-side errors, a refund can be issued via technical support. This includes 2FA requirements, existing accounts on the purchased number, and similar situations.
- Failure to receive a code is a debatable situation that may be caused by the user's side. Such cases are reviewed individually. Be prepared to provide screenshots and a video of the registration process starting from the moment of purchase.
- Technical support reviews each case individually to protect the interests of both the user and the provider.
Bans
In case of poor statistics, VioSMS may apply sanctions. Depending on the volume of number usage, we apply two types of restrictions: bans and threads limit.
Ban: temporary account suspension. Two types are used: by country–service and for the entire account.
- Country–service ban is applied in case: 100+ numbers taken, Number of successful registrations is <6%. The ban is active for 30 minutes. A repeated unsuccessful registration will trigger the ban again.
- Account Ban is applied if 5 or more different country–service combinations have already received bans. The ban is active for 30 minutes. A repeated unsuccessful registration will trigger the ban again.
Threads limit: applied when the percentage of successful activations is low.
The number of threads equals the quantity of numbers purchased simultaneously and awaiting a code. Threads limit is applied under the following statistics:
- When purchasing 500+ numbers with an overall success rate below 3%, threads are limited to 10;
- When purchasing 750+ numbers with an overall success rate below 3%, threads are limited to 5;
- When purchasing 1000+ numbers with an overall success rate below 3%, threads are limited to 1.
Limits are reset daily at 21:00 UTC. To restore the number of threads faster, contact tech support using the website form.
As for resellers, bans are applied selectively to buyers with poor statistics. Bans are a necessary measure. This helps us maintain high availability of numbers and attract reliable suppliers. Please ensure that there are no obstacles on your side to successfully receive codes (see "What to do if no code is delivered").
What to do if no code is delivered
- Change the number;
- Use high-quality VPN/Proxy;
- Make sure the VPN/Proxy country matches the number's country;
- When choosing a country of your number, refer to the Top 10 countries by SMS delivery rate.
- When registering manually, use an anti-detect browser (many services analyze different factors to identify non-unique users).
- Some services (e.g., Telegram) must be registered via a mobile app or emulator.
Account actions
- If an account has been registered with the purchased number before, please contact tech support. In some cases, the money can be refunded to your balance. This rarely happens, but it is possible.
- We are not responsible for account bans caused by violations of platform rules;
- All account-related actions are performed solely at the risk of the end user who purchased a number.
Prohibited
- Using VioSMS for any illegal purposes;
- Using disposable numbers for paid subscriptions;
- Using numbers in the banking sphere.
Please note: legislation regarding the use of virtual numbers varies by country. We recommend studying the laws of your country of residence.
Account
- When creating an account, you set a login and a password. Please ensure your credentials are kept secure;
- We recommend enabling 2FA (Profile icon → Security);
- We recommend changing your password at least once every three months. Use unique passwords;
- For security reasons, the administration has the right to block your account in the following cases:
- No activity for 3 months;
- Detection of suspicious or third-party activity.
- Recovery of a banned account is possible only with the email address specified during registration.
API
- API integration documentation is available at https://vio-sms.com/api;
- When getting numbers via the API, the same rules and restrictions apply as for purchases on the website (see "Bans");
- API requests are subject to RPS limits (requests per second). Each account is allocated 40 RPS;
- If you send requests more frequently, the system will notify you (error 1020 or 400), and the account will be blocked for 10 seconds;
- If the RPS limit is exceeded again, the block will be applied one more time.
- The use of custom software or ready-made solutions for automated registrations is allowed.
- We are not responsible for errors on the software provider's side.
- We are not responsible for incorrect API implementation or other software errors made by users due to misinterpretation of the API protocol. Refunds for user-side programming errors are not provided.
Notifications
- Important news about rule changes, new services, and other events is published in Telegram channels;
- As for personal notifications, VioSMS may use the contact info you provided;
- Technical messages (password change, API key, etc.) are sent via email. If you do not receive the expected email, check your Spam folder. If the email was marked as spam, please indicate that it is not spam to receive important messages in the future;
- By registering on the website, you agree to receive marketing materials via email. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Reseller Rules
A Reseller is an owner of their own resources for selling virtual numbers, who receives numbers from VioSMS via API protocol. The Reseller independently creates the resource for reselling numbers: a website, Telegram bot, application, etc.
To obtain Reseller status in the VioSMS system, submit an application to technical support. Be prepared to share a link to your resource for reselling numbers. Until Reseller status is assigned to an account, the standard ban system for poor statistics applies. After Reseller status is assigned, a special ban system applies: if you transmit the user ID from your system with each activation via API, the ban for poor statistics will be applied to the specific buyer, not your account.
Summary:- Request Reseller status from technical support;
- Transmit IDs of individual users so that their poor statistics do not affect the overall statistics of your VioSMS account.
- Upon activation, the cost of the number is returned to the balance after 20 minutes if no confirmation code is received;
- When renting a number, the rental can be manually canceled within 20 minutes if the code is not received.
The markup on numbers is not regulated by VioSMS and remains at the Reseller's discretion. Resellers can develop their own brand, conduct promotions, and perform any actions to attract customers without coordinating this activity with VioSMS. Exception: knowingly illegal actions, use for hosting illegal platforms.
The price at which a Reseller purchases numbers does not differ from the price for other users. It can be reduced based on general rules—through progress in the loyalty program. Technical support for users purchasing numbers from a Reseller is the responsibility of the Reseller. The sale of virtual numbers is illegal in a number of states. Responsibility for potential risks of illegal distribution lies with the Reseller.
Prohibited:- Creating services for selling numbers that copy or resemble VioSMS identity: name, logo, color palette, and other brand book elements.
- Directing buyers to VioSMS technical support.
- Referring to VioSMS in the event of disputed situations.
- Selling numbers for knowingly illegal purposes.
In case of identified violations, VioSMS reserves the right to apply sanctions against the Reseller: blocking, cancellation of discounts, etc., depending on the violation and the damage caused.
